Funny Boys

Sometimes the boys say and do the funniest things.... here are just a few examples of things they've said recently that still make me chuckle!

Bugaboo: "I think viruses must live in homes, have families.... just like humans!"

Peanut: "I really don't like doing kebabs -- they're hard!" This proclamation came after swimming lessons, when they were BOBBING in the water, but he thought he was kebab-ing, which brings to mind being skewered on a bamboo pick!

Bugaboo: While walking into school one day, he was wearing his jacket with just the hood on his head, but the rest was kind of behind him, like a cape. So I said that it looked like he was a super hero with a cape. He stopped, thought for a moment, and then extended his right hand in a fist, pushing forward, as if he was trying to take flight. He sure was disappointed when he realized that his "cape" didn't give him the power to fly!

Peanut: One night in the bathtub, I overheard Peanut telling Daddy that Bugaboo has pointy ears (which, of course, he doesn't). Then Peanut went on to say that Leprechauns have pointy ears.... then, Peanut asked Daddy: "IS Bugaboo a Leprechaun???" It was too funny!

Bugaboo: While driving home from baseball today, Bugaboo noticed several signs that look like this:

so using his keen observation skills, he reported that no P's are allowed on this road! It was just so funny!!!!

Green Belt Test

Taekwondo is serious business..... very serious..... and it requires deep focus, as you'll see in the following pictures. Bugaboo and Peanut had their green belt test recently, and they had to sit and meditate for a minute or two to prepare mentally and physically for the test. Bugaboo struggles with staying focused, so Master Cho has to watch him very closely to be sure he's not goofing off or missing something important. Peanut is usually very focused and intent on doing his best, but check out the pictures below to see Peanut's silly side! You'll also see the great joy and fun that the boys experience doing Taekwondo. They both love it and have worked so hard to learn the skills and techniques necessary for each new belt level. They have accomplished so much since they began, and they still have much to learn on this journey, but for now we're all just enjoying their recent success and looking forward to future challenges.

Bugaboo's Graduation

I can hardly believe that my preschooler has graduated and is ready for Kindergarten! Bugaboo had his graduation ceremony last week, and I took tons of photos, but for now I'm just going to post a few to show how happy he was to perform for friends and family, and earn that diploma!

Here's Bugaboo with his diploma

Here's Bugaboo jumping, with gusto, looking a little bit like Angus Young from AC/DC, with the shorts....

Here's Bugaboo really "gettin' down" with the music

My Bugaboo is such a ham!

I think he looks like he's really trying to rally the crowd in this one!

He got his diploma! Yeah!

Proud Mommy and her boys!

Bugaboo with his teachers -- we'll miss them!

Bugaboo and his friends -- partners in fun!
