On July 4th, we took the boys to Boston for their first Red Sox Game! It was an amazing day, and we all had such a great time. Fenway Park is a terrific venue for a game, with great seats, lots of food, friendly atmosphere, festive music, and great ball games. Since it was Independence Day, they honored America's military heroes with music, special recognition on the scoreboard, and they featured all branches of the military during the opening ceremonies, opening pitch, and during the Star Spangled Banner. It was a wonderful day to spend at the ball park!
Here are some of our photo memories of the day --

Fenway is a New England Landmark

It really is an amazing ball field.

In honor of the 4th, there was a fly-over by these awesome, loud, jets!

The Big Green Monster!
#20 Kevin Youkilis hit a homerun over the Monster that day!

Love your new "look," Cath... it's a perfect fit, I'd say :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you guys had a great time at the Red Sox game! My men went to a Washington Nationals game not too long ago and had an absolute blast! We've never been a baseball sort of family, but you know-- there's just something about a day at the ballpark that's wonderfully suited for little boys. It's a sort of childhood must-do, don't ya think??!
Anyhoo-- hope you have a glorious week ahead! Can you believe it's already mid-July??!
