Finally, after a month of no-blogging, I'm happy to be back at the computer for a little while, reminiscing about all the wonderful experiences we had this summer. We've stayed busy, on the go and out-of-town quite a bit, but now we're home and gearing up for school to begin soon.
I put together this collection of photographs from our trip to Maine with our dear friends, Dave and Heidi, who have a lovely cottage on a lake that was just beautiful, lined with trees, dotted with islands, and refreshingly cool.
Here are the kids at the ice cream parlor, posing with a bunch of lobster pots.
Here's Marc, Dave, and the kiddos on the float in the lake.
The lake cottage -- so quaint!
The kids getting ready for a swim.
So cute!
A terrific place for Maine lobstah!

Dinner is served!

Climbing the rocks at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse.

Mission Accomplished!
Wow, I'd LOVE to get to Maine... everything I've heard about the coastline up there makes me want to book a flight (or perhaps just pack out the van) for an immediate trip north! Perhaps one day~
ReplyDeleteSo glad you guys were able to get there (and even better-- to share it w/ good friends!), and so glad you were able to share such lovely photos of your crew. My, how your boys are growing!! You MUST make them stop! And when you figure out how to do so, *please* pass along the secret :)
OK. Enjoy the rest of your summer and all the back-to-school excitement. Truth be told, the mere thought of school cranking back up sends shivers down my spine-- oh, we're so NOT ready! Ah well-- looks like we're gonna have to take the plunge anyway, ready or not :)
Hugs from Virginia,
