While we were visiting Nana in West Virginia, we took advantage of a beautiful spring day to go down to Tazewell, Virginia to tour and experience the Crab Orchard Museum. It is a museum and pioneer park which is the most comprehensive cultural heritage museum in the middle Appalachian mountains. There were many log cabins, from all around the area, which have been moved to the historic site to better illustrate how life was two hundred years ago. They often have special events like battle re-enactments and fiddlers, but we were there on a quiet weekday, so we got to tour the grounds on our own and learn a little bit more about that region of Virginia.
Here are a few of my favorite photographs from our day there.
